Ben just got his cousin Brandon`s walker, and although his little feet do not quite touch the ground, he loves it! With the help of a fat cookbook on the floor, it is fun, fun times….

Castle in the Clouds
Even though I have spent most of my life in this area, I have never been to Castle in the Clouds, a popular local attraction. Sachem and Lauren came up for the weekend, and we decided to play tourist and head up there.
Ben and Dad taking in the view from the castle.
This was supposed to be Ben and Dad in front of the waterfall, but it was too buggy for Dad and Ben was asleep, so instead we have Ben in his stroller in front of the waterfall. Exciting stuff.
Weekend in CT
Last weekend we took Benjamin on his first visit to see Josh`s family in Connecticut. We got to visit April, Sachem and Lauren, Rick and Margaret threw a great BBQ for Benjamin, and Jessica graduated from law school. It was a very busy weekend!
Benjamin started off the weekend with, of course, a nap!
Benjamin met his cousin Lincoln for the first time! Lincoln is just a few months older than Benjamin… they will be best buds in the future! Lincoln was the first real-life baby Ben had seen, and he was mighty interested
Benjamin is such a good boy. Listen carefully and you will hear Uncle John ask for something and Benjamin, smart boy that he is, delivers!
Here is Ben hanging out at the graduation… he loves listening to Poppy and Uncle Freddy!
Poppy and Benjamin at the wonderful dinner after the gradation. Ben`s favorite activity now is sucking his fingers, his thumb, his fists or, when he can manage it, both fists.
Congratulations, Jessica!
Mother`s Day!
So April and Stephanie came up for the weekend, and what a beautiful weekend it was! I think the world would be a better place if it was 68 degrees and sunny every day. Anyway, we had a great time! Benjamin gave us the best present ever, and slept for NINE hours on Saturday night! Thank you Benjamin! Mom came over with breakfast, and then April and Steph babysat for us while Josh and I took a trip to the local nursery and got some herbs and a forcithia (sp?) bush. We puttered around in the yard all day, and Benjamin did what he does best…..
In search of a smile…
Since Ben is now smiling and giggling like a madman, we have been trying to get great pictures of him doing so. Sometimes, however, I think we try to get pics of him smiling when he is not really in the mood to do so. Take last night for instance……
He was pretty happy, giggling at dad, so I grab the camera. I caught a little one, but I wanted one of those big ol` gummy grins….
Ok. That was not it.
Nope, not it either.
Amuzing, but not it.
Ok, maybe he is not in the mood for pictures?
Really, he is not as upset as he looks!
Not quite as annoyed, but not smiling, either…
We may not be good photographers, but we sure are persistant.
Come on, Ben!
Sometimes pinching his chin makes him giggle…let`s try that?
Obviously not.
Time for reinforcements! Enter the Bumbo and Geordy the Gymnastic Giraffolion….
Oop…dare I say it?!
Success!!!!
One Big Post
Things have been busy lately and I have been slacking about putting up posts. So… here are the past few all mashed together into one big post. I have too much video to edit, so some of the videos are rather long and may include a random ceiling or floor shot …sorry!
Last weekend Poppy, Tala, and Kalia all spent the night.
Now some random pics…..
Kind of blurry, but a cute one of Ben and Dad.
Ben has grown to LOVE the changing table. Fun times, fun times….
Cutie.
Here is Ben just after he is put down for a nap. `Nap, shmap, mom!`
We tried out Ben`s Bumbo for the first time! We think he likes it….
And finally, some random videos:
Ben and Dad kidding around in the closet, and Geordy the Girafolion`s official introduction into Ben`s blog:
Since as of eight weeks old, Ben is 14 pounds, 12 ounces, we are moving up yet another size in clothing. Ben thought it was more amusing to play in the basket with dad than help me fold his clothes, however…
And lastly, we think Ben might have a future in tap dancing….
