The Curl

Ben is getting a pretty good mop of hair on the top of his head, and it is curly! There is always one or two curls sticking up right in the middle, no matter what we do. (Ok, we really do not try to tame it…)

Ben is almost always in the BEST mood when he first wakes up. We hear him cooing and wiggling around in his crib, we walk over and he will give us the BIGGEST smiles! Josh tried to capture that smile, but I think the light from the camera may have mesmerized the little guy instead. He got a pretty good curl shot, anyway!

Back to CT!

We just returned from another weekend in Connecticut, this time for Josh`s cousin Melea`s wedding. It was a beautiful event on a beautiful day, just a bit on the hot side! Benjamin happily spent the day in nothing but a dipe.

I think that one of the things Benjamin likes the most about family gatherings is that there are plenty of people to pass him around and let him jump on thier laps. Its gets pretty tiring on the arms after just a few minutes, but with a whole table of people to pass him around, he can jump to his hearts content!

Lauren and Sachem both took their turns holding the jumping baby…

Pool Party!

Rick and Margaret came up with a pool for Benjamin (as well as some stylish swimming trunks!).  It was not the hottest of weekends, but with the help of a little warm tap water we were able to get him in!

He is not a big splasher yet, but we are sure he will learn to appreciate that eventually. He was pretty interested in the blow-up boat, however…

Of course, `being interested` these days really means `hmmm…I wonder what this tastes like?`

Visits!

Rickand Margaret came up for a visit recently!

Benjamin had lots of fun with Margaret! 

And, amazingly, we got Benjamin to look at the camera at the same time as everyone else!

One Happy Baby

No real story behind this pic… just another one of those big gummy smiles! We may not have gummy smiles for too much longer, however, as he is cutting his first tooth as we speak!

Uncle Scottie

Benjamin finally got to meet his Uncle Scott! Scott and Jacklyn surprised us all with a weekend trip home from California with some very exciting news!

ETA: Looks like we will be heading out to California for another wedding next year!

Who needs a Jumperoo?

Ben LOVES to jump. He now knows that he does not necessarily need to be in the Jumperoo to do so, though!

Nana simulateously teaches Ben how to play poker and manages to hold the crazy jumping baby.

Lady`s Man

Benjamin and I took a trip down to Adams, MA a few weeks ago, and Benjamin met cutie Keira who is about a year older than he is.

We learned two things that weekend. First, Ben is indeed a LARGE baby, and second, that Keira really likes babies and bellybuttons!

Big Boy Stroller

Benjamin has officially moved up to the real stroller! He likes it much better because he can look out and watch the world go by while we walk. We, however, will need some adjustment because we can not see him!

Benjamin takes the official `big boy stroller` oath of good behavior.

Woo Hoo! No hands!
