A boy and his dog

Posted on

For every one photo we try to take, we end up taking about four. In two of the four, Benjamin is not looking or making and funny face, and in the third Scooter is in the way, be it an ear, a nose, or his tail. Wherever we are, you find Scooter.

This is what I usually have on the floor beside me as I work at my desk… Scooter sleeping, and Ben laying on his back, giggling and yelling at the ceiling light because, you know, it is funny… all the while pulling and pulling and pulling Scooters hair….

Hooray for us!

Hooray for us! Benjamin is FINALLY upstairs in his own room!!

A boy in his very own room.  Good stuff.

It is time for us to start putting the rail up on the side of his crib at night. One of these days he is going to be right up and over!

Our proud little boy :)

Boy with Blocks

Posted on

Ben has discovered BLOCKS, and they now are his toy of choice! As expected, I guess, his favorite thing to do is to throw them out of his reach and then have Mom fetch…..

I realize this is not a block, but I liked the pic….!

Tubby Time!

Well, it is official. Ben now (finally) loves his baths!

Note this crazy action shot… the splashing hand moving so fast it is just a blur!

Rice Rusks. Delicious!

Ben is just starting to do a little feeding on his own.  He does not get so much in his mouth I don`t think, but he very much likes to pound the crackers into smithereens, or throw them onto the floor for Scooter (who does not mind one bit!).

Brrrr!

This morning it certainly felt as though summer is officially over! It was freezing! Thanks to being awake for most of the early morning hours, Ben and I did not get out of bed until after 8 this morning. It was the perfect morning to stay in our pjs and bundle up in blankets on the couch with a good book!

In the grass…

There is one benefit to not having time to mow the lawn in a few weeks.  Lot of tall things for Ben to look at and grab for!

Ben and his buddy. You think it is hard to get a baby to smile at the camera? Try getting a baby and a dog to do it.

6 Months Pics

We have never actually taken Ben to get pics taken and I have been feeling a little bad about that. So, yesterday I got him naked and put him on a blanket. That is what they do at those professional places, right??!

Happy Baby!

Shy Baby!

Naked Baby!

Baby!

Ben and Cam

Posted on

Ben has a second cousin (?) Cameron, who is just three months younger! Ben and I went to visit Cam and Michelle (his mom) a few weeks ago, and we got some cute pics of the two of them together!

We got a smile out of Cam!

Ben shared some friendly words of wisdom with Cam regarding squeaky toys, sippy cups, rice cereal and bananas….

The Sippy Cup

Posted on

Benjamin`s newest adventure is the sippy cup! He was desperate to get his little paws on our glasses, so we figured it was time to get him his very own.

At first he was not too sure which end he was supposed to actually suck on…

But he has gotten pretty good at it! He still gets a little surprized when water actually comes out… but he is getting there!
