Benjamin likes to dress for the holidays. Here he shows off his scary spider hat!
This pic also shows off his new teeth! There are two more on the way, too!
Ok. So we took LOTS of pictures this weekend! It was a beautiful fall day and Benjamin was just in a silly, silly mood!
We took a walk around White Lake State Park. Because our house is surrounded by pine trees, we have to go search for piles of leaves for Ben to play in!
Later on that day, Ben rocked in the rocking chair by himself for the very first time. I think he enjoyed himself!
THEN, on the way to the changing table to get him ready for bed, the photo op of `Ben-dressed-as-pumpkin-sitting-next-to-pumpkin` arose and of course we took it. He was more interested in hugging the soft pillow than mugging for our shots, though.
This past weekend Grandma Hyatt was up, and we took Tala and Kalia on our annual trek to the Sandwich Fair! It was a beautiful day. Very crowded, but beautiful!
Benjamin played Mr Cool, as usual.
He was pretty intrigued by the carousel!
And although big furry things are pretty old hat for Benjamin since we have two dogs that are pretty much in his face all the time, he did enjoy looking at the goats!
I know this is Ben`s blog, but these pics are just too much not to share.
Lady, our old dog who is so arthritic she can barely climb a flight of stairs, always seems to get herself into trouble. This weekend, for instance, she managed to fall down into a 4 or 5 foot deep hole that surrounded our new chimney. And, of course, the chimney was covered with waterproofing (roofing tar).
This is how she looked. Mind you this was 9:00 at night, and in order to get this stuff off of your hands, you wash with gasoline. We tried a quick wash with soap and the hose, but it was doing no good!
So, we wrapped her up good so that she would not get tar all over the house, and decided to deal with it in the morning. In case anyone wants to know, a good rubdown of vegetable oil and then a good bath does the trick. Takes a couple of hours, but it works. Hopefully, though, no one will have to use that tip….
This is actually a post that I forgot to `publish` a week or so ago….
Ben got a cool toy from Jack, our neighbor, and he is finally getting big enough to play with it! You can tell that he is REALLY into driving his car…
He is also REALLY into pulling off his socks these days…
….and gets pretty upset when he can not get them off !
