Poor Ben. Once again he has been dressed up, propped up, and asked to sit still….
hehe
Last weekend Poppy, Grandma Margaret, Tala and Kalia were over to begin the Christmas celebrations! Josh got us a nice Charlie Brown tree from our land that morning, just in time!
Poppy showed Ben the new addition to our living room.
Then Ben helped me put some ornaments on!
Ben opened his first gift!! With a little help he was able to rip that paper like a pro.
`But why do I have to wait until all that silly paper is off before I can play with it?`
Do you think he likes it?
He is a walking machine these days – watch out!
Later on, he relaxes and chats to his new buddy about the spirit of the holidays…
Even though he can not walk on his own yet and crawls pretty awkwardly, he knows how to get around! Here he helps himself to the piano to play a little tune, and then heads on over to the couch…
He is quickly learning the `STEERING` skill, and is getting pretty good at going around the dogs, not right into them. But that is for a future post. We will let him perfect that skill before we go public.
We did lots of visiting over the holiday, but in all the flurry we really never brought the camera out. On the last day, though, we figured we would stage a few shots…I mean, take a few pics.

Ben wore his `1st Thanksgiving Bib` and thought that the big ol` turkey leg looked pretty interesting…
Of course he tried to eat it. Please note that he has the post-thankgiving-dinner-turkey-coma look down already! Smart kid.
Ben and Grandma Margaret shared a little pumpkin play time after the festivities!
We have had our first snow up here in the past week, so of course we have been doing some Ben/Snow experiments!
First came the snowball on the highchair.
At first he seemed very unimpressed by this strange white thing.
He eventually tried to touch it with just a little bit of prodding from mom and dad.
Ohhh boy is that cold!
A few days later we got a couple more inches of snow, and decided it was high time to get Ben actually out into it!
At first he was, of course, very unimpressed.
Then, of course, he tried to touch it!
Ohhh boy is that cold!
We did have some good times, though. No snow angels, igloos, or snowmen yet, but I am sure those are not far away!
