Poppy and Grandma Margaret came over on Saturday, and Ben got to open his BIG present!
Ben was veeery interested in this big brightly colored box in the corner….
Ben opens it up with some help from Poppy
And was a big help in putting it together (temporarily) in the living room!
This is actually Ben`s first experience with a slide… I think he liked it!
Now if only the snow would melt and we could play outside!
And Ben`s birthday celebrations begin! Last Thursday, the 5th, was Benjamin`s actual birthday. We celebrated by going to the mall and getting his pics taken. Ben loves going anywhere, even if it is just the post office, so really, this was a treat for him!
I apparently was not thinking correctly when I made the appointment, though, and poor Ben got his pictures taken right before lunch. Not very good planning. Not many smiles, either. We did get some nice shots though, nonetheless!

After our mall adventure, we came home to dinner with Nana who was finally home from California, and the opening of some presents!
Nana got Ben some blocks. What boy does not like blocks?!
By the next night Ben was building castles (with a little help from dad, of course).
We all know Ben loves to push things around, so here he helps dad put together his new shopping cart.
It is a little tall, but he does not seem to mind one bit.
Add a hat and some friends along for the ride…. good times!
Next was a Little People Farm… he could not wait to get in!

We actually had a quiet weekend the past few days, and had beautiful weather as well!
No, Ben does not have three foot legs. His snowpants are just a bit long!
Does not phase him, though!
I love being outside!
Watching daddy build a snowman. Maybe next year he can participate a bit more.
