It has become a Mother`s Day tradition that we head out to the local nursery and get a few new plants for the yard. Last year, Ben stayed home while Grandma Hyatt babysat. This year, he came along !
They have little red wagons which are supposed to be for plants, but they work great for little boys, too.
There was even a Benjamin-sized wagon, but he was more into the riding than the pulling.
Last weekend it was warm enough to bring out Ben`s little pool! Not quite warm enough to bath in yet, but certainly warm enough for some rock-throwing-in and splashing!
De plane! De plane! We live near a small private airport, so this time of year there are lots of private planes going overhead. Ben has developed quite the ear for them!
Benjamin has a new favorite food! We just introduced Cheerios to him a few weeks ago. I am not sure why we waited so long, but he is sure making up for lost time!
He quickly learned where we keep the big yellow box…
At first, he would take the bag out and follow us around with it, begging for help getting the Cheerios out of the box.
It did not take him long to figure out how to do it himself, however. We need to find a new hiding place for the box!

His pantry raiding has not stopped with Cheerios. Graham crackers are fair game, too! We do realize that we can not allow him to help himself to food all the time, but he is just so darn proud of himself right now!
He is also started to like his Cheerios the way daddy has them in the mornings, with milk. He will not eat any until I put that splash of milk on!
One of Ben`s favorite activities now is being read to. He pretty much demands it at least a few times a day, actually!
